You can see a portfolio of Vincent Catala's work here .
Vincent Catala is a self-taught photographer that lives and works in Paris. In 2005, after completing a Masters in Intellectual Property, Vincent began pursuing a career in photography.
Vincent's approach is to examine the relationship between characters situated in various geographical spaces, transforming what may be more documentary in style to concepts that go beyond formal representation. The presence of man, whether visible or suggested, remains central to his narrative.
Vincent has received wide recognition for his work, particularly in the last two years, working with curator Milton Guran at Recontres d'Arles, Festival des Transphotographiques in Lille, and Centro de Artes Helio Oiticica in Rio de Janeiro. He has also exhibited at the Dupon Gallery in Paris with curator Pascale Giffard and this year, his work can be seen at the Circulation(s) festival in Paris.
In 2009, he was nominated for the Parole Photographique Prize and in 2011, received Finalist for the Emergentes prize in Portugal.
