Enric Montes' books, in appearance and proportions, are more characteristic of the poetry books than the photography books. Lack of ornaments, as it is shown in his sober dedications and in the absence of text, these are books filled with searches, where, each image could be the prelude of a story, a tale or a fable.
The images of his books are not the chronicle of a specific trip. They are the testimony to the events that occur when walking. They are the footprints, the scars that mark a period of the particular and modest odyssey of the author, could it be, at heart, the essential is deepening upward.
The trilogy “El buscador de prodigios” incorporates an antidote against forgetting. It provides us with images filled with a resounding delicacy, that reveals us with generosity what could had been unnoticed to us, and, that from now, perhaps, we can recognize again. His books are the room where lives, without grievance, the brightness, the duration and certain places of the memory.
