Marking the occasion of Kenneth Hopes fortieth year as a photographer a two-volume book of his personal work has been published entitled;

“Still life…Still Hope”.

Working in the field of fashion and advertising has taken him on assignments throughout the world. Despite this commercial success he has always worked on projects of a more personal nature. These volumes pay tribute to those photographs of which the greater part has never been published before.

Looking at these images is not a Sunday drive; highs and lows have been recorded with equal passion. The series ”Legacy” which deals with the death of his father and “fifteen days of sorrow” are particularly poignant. It is no accident that the pictures in these books are not in chronological order. He is not remembering his life as a consistent narrative, but rather as sequences and moments and trying to make sense of these fragments of living.

Born in Hereford U.K. but living in France he continues to work on still and moving images.

Still Life…Still Hope is published in co-operation with Blurb.com.

Two volumes in soft cover 124 pages and128 pages printed in black and white and colour.

The books include interviews by Bertien Van Mannen and Roger Stowell.
