Millennium is delighted to announce that two of our contributors have won prizes at the Sony World Photography Awards.

Alys Tomlinson was named Photographer of the Year at the awards ceremony in London for her portfolio titled “Ex-Voto”. The project encompasses formal portraiture, large format landscape and small, detailed still-lifes of the objects and markers left behind by pilgrims. The pilgrimage sites are Lourdes (France), Ballyvourney (Ireland) and Grabarka (Poland).

Edgar Martins won 1st place of the still life category with “Siloquies And Soliloquies On Death, Life And Other Interludes” and 2nd Place in the architecture category with “The Poetic Impossibility of Managing the Machine”.
