Since beginning his freelance career in 1977, he has photographed for publications including Vogue, The World of Interiors and Condé Nast Traveller, alongside developing personal projects and publishing five photography books.
In this selection from his Millennium Images collection, vivid colours and carefully observed details connect otherwise far-reaching subjects: dancers in an intimate embrace, a neon-lit stadium, coastal landscapes and sunlit whitewashed walls. Moving between people, places and everyday scenes, his photographs draw attention to the character of a setting, whether through an unexpected juxtaposition or the simple interplay of light and shadow.
