Millennium Images contributor Adam Wiseman has produced a new pair of artist books documenting every shopfront along Deptford High Street in South East London.
Photographed through the winter of 2025–26, Adam Wiseman captures the street’s 186 commercial façades in sequence. Forming a visual inventory of a high street caught between change and continuity.
Alongside the photographic survey, Wiseman invited local shop owners to exchange a framed print of their storefront for goods or services, a reciprocal gesture that mirrors the everyday economies and relationships that define the street itself.
The work will be published in two volumes: Deptford High Street — East Side and Deptford High Street — West Side.
